Margo’s
Portfolio
I’m Margarita Andrusenko, an aspiring international artist. I specialize in both traditional and digital art.
Art is a big part of who I am, and I want to inspire many more people just like me with visual storytelling through animation.
Girl on grass
This painting shows a girl having a picnic on the grass. I aimed for an impressionist technique of distinct brush strokes. What I like most about this style is that with little detail it is able to create unique compositions, that from a small distance make no sense but as one steps away it all […]
Casual Poses
Here I did some sketches by observing the different people and their movements at the gym. I find the most interesting way of drawing someone is when they don’t know they’re being observed. That way keeping the result more natural.
Sunflowers
This painting turned out to be one of my favourite school projects. At first I didn’t have much hope in it, but after seeing the final result I was amazed. This was the first painting I made in an impriessionist style which made me fall in love with this technique. It might come off as […]
Leopard
This is one of my most recent works, which I drew after being inspired by one of my favourite artists, Aaron Blaise. I chose to draw a leopard because I find big cats mysterious and peaceful at the same time. Elegant and deadly. Through this piece I tried to convey a sense of serenity and […]
Rose Garden
Texture in this painting is key. In this piece I used, for the first time, a painting knife. I found it very entertaining to use. The smooth way it laid out the paint on the canvas, the unique straight and textured lines it made, and the way different colours mixed… simply having it as new […]
Rockstar Girl
This piece was made during a trip to Holland. I experimented with a new rendering technique I learned which consists in roughly blocking in the shadows and setting them to multiply, and then adding in the colour, texture and final touches. I used a reference I found on pinterest of a static pose in which […]
Borne de Isabel II
This was one of my favourite exhibits at the Royal Collection Gallery in Madrid. It’s called “Borne de Isabel II” or “Diván circular” (circular couch). I tried to keep the process simple but at the same time giving the illusion of detail.
