I made these drawings as an exam at school, in which we had to make two drawings, one in black and white, and another in colour. The first one is done with a black pen and some help of a black marker for the darkest parts, while in the second piece I mixed alcohol markers with coloured pencils. I personally prefer the coloured version because with it I was able to better represent the texture of the objects, and make a better representation of volume and the difference between soft and hard edges. I especially love how the cheek turned out, with the reflection of the apple, the bounce light from the table cloth and the change from shadow to light.
